Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017

NOTIFYING FIRE AND EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION CENTRES OF FUMIGATION ACTIVITIES UNDER THE NEW HEALTH AND SAFETY AT WORK HAZ SUBS REGULATIONS
From 1 December 2017, the new Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017 require businesses, such as yourselves, to notify the nearest Fire and Emergency Communications Centre of planned commercial fumigation activities at least 24 hours before they fumigate. It’s important that they know what hazardous substances they may encounter, particularly toxic gases or vapours that may affect first responders.
